Program description
General objective
Train Nursing Specialists in Critical Care, competitive in the workplace for the care of patients in a critical state of health through specialized deepening of both knowledge, skills and clinical skills in the field, as well as attitudinal skills, developing professional skills that are required for patient care that allow them to achieve and maintain the maximum capacity and/or well-being to preserve life, prevent and limit disabilities, using the Nursing Process methodology for this.
Specific objectives
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and attention to critically ill patients during their stay in the shock, emergency, intermediate therapy, and intensive care areas.
- Promote the continuous improvement of the quality of care through the use of innovative models in nursing care.
- Acquire skills in the use of technology to provide quality nursing care.
- Design health education interventions with patients and their caregivers.
- Develop the analytical capacity of the nurse who participates in the health-disease process, in order to regulate their professional activity.
- Analyze the responsibilities that correspond to the exercise of the nursing profession, as well as the sanctions that society imposes, embodied in laws, codes and regulations that concern nursing.
- Acquire the ability to identify problems subject to investigation and apply the Scientific Methodology.
