South College’s Master of Science in Nursing program with Concentration in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a flexible and affordable way to work toward advancing your nursing knowledge. Innovative, challenging, and comprehensive, the MSN PMHNP program is designed to further develop the critical thinking and analytical skills needed in today’s competitive and evolving healthcare environments. The core course focuses on areas such as advanced pathophysiology, healthcare informatics, advanced pharmacology, advanced health assessment, advanced research methods, and evidence-based practice. Concentration courses include models of counseling and psychotherapy, psychiatric theory and assessment, and models of care across the lifespan.
