Its main objective is to train students to design and successfully carry out research projects, providing them with the necessary tools for this and integrating the different fields of knowledge in which healthcare professionals carry out their activity. To this end, the student will be provided with a solid background in the research, which will be applied in the different areas that make up health care.
StructureThe University Master's Degree in Health Care Research is made up of two modules. The first, called the Care Research Methodology, includes 6 compulsory subjects and 3 elective credits that the student must complete by choosing one of the two optional 3 ECTS offered. The other module, Master's Final Project, contains the subject of the same name which implies the completion of a Master's Final Project with a load of 18 ECTS and with whose defense the studies are completed.RecipientsAimed at university professionals in the field of Health Sciences, preferably with a Graduate profile in Nursing, Physiotherapy and / or Podiatry.Why study this master?This training not only enables students to start a research career, giving them access to doctoral studies, but also makes future researchers aware of a range of new possibilities in which to develop their work activity within the research field.
Specifically, within the field of clinical trials are the innovative work figures of the "Data manager" or in charge of data collection and reporting and the "Clinical research associate", responsible for monitoring the entire trial. Specifically in the nursing field are the figures of the "Study coordinator" or research nurse, a link between all the departments that collaborate in the trial, as well as the figure of "Study Nurse", who is responsible for monitoring parameters clinical, drug administration, extractions, etc.
The members of the different Clinical Ethics Research Committees at the national level must also have specific research training. In addition, since health research is an area in constant development, more and more professionals in this field with training in research methodology are in demand.Admission requirements for mastersNon-enabling university mastersBe in possession of any of the following titles:Spanish official university degree .
