The study program investigates the mechanisms of interaction of chemical, physical and biological factors of the living and the working environments of the organism. It integrates methodological approaches especially in the area of toxicology, molecular biology, and immunology. It is the theoretical basis for preventive medicine fields, ie. hygiene, and epidemiology.
Description of verification and evaluation criteria
Entrance exams take the form of an interview on the topic of the Ph.D. Thesis, demonstrating the technical skills of the applicant for a doctoral study program and the ability to work with specialized foreign literature. The project is assessed by the expert committee.

Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study program.

The graduate in doctoral study program (Ph.D.). Preventive Medicine will achieve an education in the field of preventive medicine. On the principles of evidence-based medicine, the graduate will be able to assess the importance of various factors impacting on the health of both an individual and the whole population and determine the possibilities and ways of prevention of health disorders.
By defense of the doctoral thesis, the graduate alleges the ability of individual research work, publication of results in scientific journals and mentoring young researchers. The standard length of the study is four (4) years which also enables international scientific activities.
