Introduction
Students in the Medical Ethics and Humanities Master of Arts (M.A.) or graduate certificate program will learn to critically examine issues and values relevant to healthcare delivery, research, and the healthcare organization. This course of study is ideal for busy medical professionals and students pursuing clinical and community-based work.
Individuals in the healthcare field are often faced with conflicting values, such as differences in opinion between a doctor and patient or the decision to change or deny treatment because of insurance policies. The medical ethics program at NEOMED trains students to evaluate ethical problems with logic, facts, and values to determine the best course of action for patients, providers, and organizations.
