The aim of the “Medical Doctor“s” Programme: is to prepare Medical Doctors who are competitive in the local and international market, highly qualified, morally grounded, with appropriate competencies, who will be able to satisfy the educational requirements of an open society, which facilitates implementation of the CU”s general mission: to graduate competitive, highly qualified, morally grounded graduates who are faithful to democratic values and principles of democracy.

Medical Education Program's primary goal is to prepare confident medical doctors possessing the knowledge and skills according to international standards for undergraduate medical education. Our program bases on the global standards of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME).

The aim of the course is to prepare competent, compassionate, just, experienced medical doctors, who will possess necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills and values, defined by descriptor of competences of medical education in Georgia and by learning objectives of basic medical education by TUNING/MEDINE project, which will enable them to successfully continue medical education, enroll in Masters and Doctoral programs, apply for clinical positions of junior doctor, participate in scientific and academic activities in Georgia, as well as in other countries; graduates of the course will be ready to continuously improve their knowledge and skills, and with their professional work facilitate improvement of health and well-being of local communities as well as global society. Graduates can work as junior doctors and study and practice specialty in any related fields, participate in national and international exams of medical councils and have their own independent clinics or study PhD and become academic staff.

Educational Program in Medicine – 3490 GEL. Program workload is 364 credit units, duration 6 years, 12 semesters.
