IAU students are required to pass the USMLE Step 1 exam before the end of the bridge semester. Once this is completed they may begin clinical rotations in the U.S. The 3rd and 4th years of medical school consist of the Clinical Sciences and are mainly comprised of clinical rotations (clerkships) under the supervision of a physician (preceptor).

The Division offers a medical program for high school graduates and for college/university graduates. At the end of the program, the graduates are awarded the MD degree and receive a medical diploma recognized in the European Union, USA, Canada, and most other countries of the world (for precise information on diploma recognition in particular countries, consult appropriate legal acts).

The first two years of the General Medicine program serve as the foundation of basic medical knowledge. After the third year training is extended with regular clinical practice, in which students actively participate in the work of clinical departments and teaching hospitals.

Program “Medicine” at Ilia State University aims to prepare qualified and competent Medical Doctors, open to modern approaches and equipped with appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies to respond tomorrow’s global challenges of the field. Furthermore, to be competitive at both - national and international levels. Graduates of the program are eligible to continue further medical education, work as junior doctors and teachers.

School of Medicine is running full-time studies – at the six-year Medical Doctor Program in English (12 semesters). The university uses international education standards to prepare prospective doctors for medicine in the 21st century. The extended curriculum is based on strict European and U.S. standards and integrated educational experience. All lectures, seminars and practical training are conducted in English. Students have plenty of opportunities to join research teams in many academic departments, get experience in research. Studies of the Medical Program are preparing to work in the medical profession. Students enquire about the skills of interviewing the patient, examination, proper diagnosis, and treatment of the patient, and provide them with the necessary assistance. During the studies, students gain knowledge and practical skills in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation which are necessary to practice medicine, further training, and further research. Students learn the moral principles of conduct towards patients and their rights, rules of professional doctors co-operation and moral norms in medical research. After graduation student has theoretical knowledge and practical skills to practice medicine, also has the opportunity to specialize in different areas of medicine. After graduation students will receive a diploma of Medical Doctor (MD), which allows for applying for a license to practice medicine in the USA, Canada, Europe, and many other countries.

The curriculum of the Faculty of Medicine consists of six years of medical course. Upon successful completion of the course, student is entitled to receive an MD diploma (title of physician “LEKARZ”).

The aim of the “Medical Doctor“s” Programme: is to prepare Medical Doctors who are competitive in the local and international market, highly qualified, morally grounded, with appropriate competencies, who will be able to satisfy the educational requirements of an open society, which facilitates implementation of the CU”s general mission: to graduate competitive, highly qualified, morally grounded graduates who are faithful to democratic values and principles of democracy.

Medical Doctor: A Profession of Public Trust. The profession of physician is highly prestigious and enjoys social trust, however there are fewer and fewer practitioners in the field. This shortage will soon be a serious problem. In July 2015, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University obtained the necessary entitlements to offer medical studies and commenced educating future doctors in October 2016. This is the very first non-public university in Poland to do so.

The International Medical Doctor Program at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University has been designed to foster a new kind of doctor. This doctor will possess the necessary human, cultural and professional values to provide healthcare and share ideas in today’s globalized world.

The programme corresponds to EU standards and professional requirements set for MDs. The obtained degree is in line with European labour market requirements (part of the European comparative degree system) and allows free movement within Europe.

This is a full time three year professional course, leading to a Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology. Graduates are qualified to work as Clinical Psychologists. The program is designed around the Accreditation Guidelines of the Psychological Society of Ireland for postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology. There are four key strands around which course delivery is organised: (1) Academic Competence; (2) Clinical Competence; (3) Research Competence; (4) Personal Development. The program is primarily based on the principles of life-span developmental psychology as applied in the clinical setting. There is a strong emphasis on empirically based theoretical orientations including psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural theories. Program delivery is through active learning workshops based on adult learning principles including experiential learning, skills practice and reflective practice.
