Introduction
McNeese’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree offers the knowledge and training necessary for nurses to grow professionally, expand their expertise in the nursing field and successfully sit for post-graduation certification and license exams.
With curriculum consistent with the Intercollegiate Consortium for a Master’s in Science of Nursing (ICMSN), the MSN program at McNeese features instruction by experienced faculty and hands-on training in the clinical setting. Our program equips students with the skills and experience to practice evidence-based care and effectively serve distinct patient populations or pass their knowledge on to the next generation of nurses.
As a graduate nursing student at McNeese, you will enjoy the flexibility of a fully online degree while still receiving the full support of the Department of Nursing‘s faculty and staff and McNeese’s advanced facilities. For the past several years, our student certification rates for family nurse practitioners and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners has been 100%, and most of our graduates have secured post certification and licensure employment prior to graduation.
