DUAL STUDY CONCEPT CONSTRUCTION AND STUDY DURATION
The regular study period at the Dualhochschule BadenWürttemberg Lörrach comprises a total of six semesters. A one-year vocational training course at a physiotherapies school is introduced to the DHBW program. This training is closely coordinated with the curriculum of the Bachelor's program. Responsibility for the fulfillment of the statutory requirements lies with the entire duration of the technical training at the Physiotherapiesschule. It organizes theoretical and practical training. DHBW is responsible for the entire course of studies. The modules provided by the Physiotherapiesschule must be approved by DHBW. They are subject to regular quality control.
The graduates place the state exams as a physiotherapist after three years (resp. According to the 4. University semester). After the completed 6. Semester and successful examination, the bachelor's degree is awarded.

In addition to the professors of the Duales Hochschule, lecturers from other universities as well as, above all, qualified experts from the entrepreneurial practice convey content from their subject areas. This guarantees a high scientific level as well as an up-to-date, practically oriented teaching.
STUDY REQUIREMENTS
For studying in physiotherapy (B.Sc.), DHBW can be admitted according to the general access requirements, who meet the following requirements:
University admission
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or
- Fachgebundene Hochschulreife (according to the selected study program) or

Study and training contract
This is concluded between the co-operation partner and the students. It takes on the tasks of the employer and organizes the practical phases of studying in institutions, centers, rehabilitation facilities and practices. The quality standards must comply with the requirements of the DHBW and fulfill the requirements defined by the Freiburg government presidency for specialist training. The practical modules provided in the clinics are regulated in contractual agreements between the co-operation partner and the affiliated clinics.
The practical training is supervised by employees of the Physiotherapiesschule and companies. The training partners must be approved by DHBW. As remuneration, at least the tariff set by the Physiotherapiesschule is paid to the students from matriculation at DHBW. It is not possible to recruit students at a clinic outside the university clinics, since no health care institution has all the disciplines required for the examination regulations.
