The program is a 5-year program. Students who are accepted to the pharmacy program will start studying Pre Pharmacy ‘Foundation Pharmacy" or "General Pharmacy".

Additionally, our students enjoy a range of annual extra-curricula activities. These include White Coat Ceremony, Dean’s List, Graduation, PharmacoFUN, International Potluck, Movie Day, Dialogue with the Dean, Competitions (such as promote your pharmacy profession and Arabic counseling competition), and Public Outreach Events on important topics such as Diabetes, Smoking Cessation, Medication in Ramadan and Allergies and Common Cold.

The College of Pharmacy accepted its first class in September 2007. In July 2008, the college applied for consideration for provisional accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). CCAPP (Canada) is the sole pharmacy program accreditation agency in Canada. Provisional accreditation status is the highest level of recognition that this agency can award to new programs in the formative stage of development. In January 2009, CCAPP informed Qatar University that the institution had been awarded the status of Provisional Accreditation for the 2-year term January 2009 – December 2011.
The College of Pharmacy at Qatar University is the first international program to be awarded full accreditation status by CCAPP (Canada).
Based on the CCAPP Board meeting held in June 2018, the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University is granted the maximum period (5 years) for renewal of accreditation for both the BSc and PharmD programs (2018-2023).

Career Development Center
The Career Development Center provides counseling, training, and professional development services and helps to prepare students to engage and compete for the best career opportunities. It specializes in providing QU students with student employment during their study at QU. Additionally; the Center assists students with sponsorship, internship, and full-time job opportunities and provides numerous career-related resources, programs, and activities.
The Career Development Center at Qatar University shall be the benchmark of Career Services in the region and generate the future leaders of the Qatar National Vision 2030 by helping our students and alumni realize their career dreams.
