Students who complete the course of study for the animal welfare program may pursue careers such as animal control officer, zookeeper or non-profit worker in shelters or other aid organizations. Students may also choose to become a veterinarian, researcher or educator.

Associate degrees are an excellent choice for any students seeking new pathways after graduating from secondary education. These degrees can generally be completed in one to three years, although most students finish within about two years.
